Cylindrical vase with relief décor in very fine details of a boy playing the flute on a buffalo, zôgan-inlaid gold crescent moon above, with a forest fading away in the background. Signed Joun with kakihan. Oshima Joun was professor at the Tokyo Art School from 1887 to 1932.
